Thoosje Vista Sidebar là tiện ích miễn phí, cho phép bạn tạo ra thanh Sidebar như Windows Vista để chứa các tiện ích những như các công cụ phục vụ cho công việc hay đơn giản chỉ để trang trí.

Ngoài việc có thể đưa những tiện ích sẵn có trên hệ thống lên thanh Sidebar, bạn có thể đưa những công cụ khác như lịch, đồng hồ, nhiệt độ, thời tiết, các tiện ích chơi nhạc… Và điểm nổi bật nhất của thanh Sidebar này đó là “ngốn” ít hơn 50% RAM và nhanh hơn so với thanh Sidebar thực thụ trên Windows Vista.

Sử dụng chương trình rất đơn giản. Sau khi download và cài đặt, khi bạn chạy chương trình, 1 thanh Sidebar sẽ xuất hiện ở bên phải của màn hình. Tuy nhiên trên thanh Sidebar này chưa có nội dung gì. Để thêm các gadget lên thanh này, bạn click vào dấu cộng (+) ở trên cùng của thanh, cửa sổ chứa các gadget sẽ hiện ra, ứng với mỗi gadget sẽ là 1 công cụ và tiện ích khác nhau.

Bạn click vào gadget muốn hiển thị trên thanh Sidebar, biểu tượng của gadget đó sẽ xuất hiện trên màn hình. Công việc của bạn là sử dụng chuột kéo chúng và đặt vào vị trí thích hợp trên thanh Sidebar. Để loại bỏ 1 Gadget ra khỏi thanh Sidebar, bạn chỉ việc click chuột phải vào biểu tượng của gadget đó và chọn Close.

Nếu bạn vẫn “trung thành” với Windows XP hoặc chưa muốn sử dụng Windows Vista / Windows 7 thì bạn có thể sử dụng Thoosje Vista Sidebar để “làm mới” cho Windows XP của mình.
